WHY SKILL DEVELOPMENT IS IMPORTANT?

Competency Alignment

Skill Development and upskilling are the requirements of the day. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) aims to align the competencies of the unregulated workforce.

Skill Collaboration

NIPSTec is actively involved in the execution of projects under the National Skill Development Mission (NSDM). Implemented by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and will be supported by three other institutions: National Skill Development Agency (NSDA), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and the Directorate General of Training (DGT).

Skill Empowerment

Specialized Skill Development programs have been conducted for Motivators and Facilitators, Self Help Groups, Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) and many more, and have received excellent feedback.

Training Achievements

NIPSTec has successfully completed Skill Development training under various Schemes like PMKVY, ESDM, BSDM, STAR and MOIA (Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs) at New Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura.

Affiliation with Sector Skill Councils (SSCs)

SSCs create Occupational Standards and Qualification Packs, develop competency frameworks, conduct Train-the-Trainer Programs, conduct skill gap studies, and Assess and Certify trainees on the curriculum aligned to National Occupational Standards (NOS) developed by them. NIPSTec provides training based on the above standards, curriculum, and has / had affiliation with the following SSCs:
